EZDrummer for the win!

Wow, the new drum sounds make a huge difference. So does the guitar's tone. The guitars sound much more powerful than before. I think even for a short test, this still sounds awesome!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks man. I'm really lovin EZDrums..they are teh shit. Wish I wasn't blocked tho..haha.

Thanks again man\m/

Dethklok?

You sound just like Dethklok! Seriously, the sound quality and everything was too metal to be a crappy Tuesday song, haha.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Haha, thanks man. It only took me about half an hour to do the music...from creation to recording...two days to get the chance to do vocals...which it why it was uploaded today. Dethklok eh? Haven't heard that name for a while. Thanks alot man!!\m/

Awesome!

I already commented about this on SheezyArt... but I asked for a download link before I remembered you had a NG account, sorry about that. But I have listened to this quite a bit now, really awesome job on both of your parts!

speedmetalmessiah responds:

Ah, I haven't checked my SheezyArt page yet. If you want you can PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a higher quality version. Anyway glad you liked it.

Cows are evil.

Well, I gave this a 10 for clarity, because this time your sound quality is actually dead clear! I'm not sure of your steps on this, but the sound quality is great! I gave a 7 on effort though, because it could have been longer. This has been on repeat for me for a few minutes I think. The clean sound is great, and I think the little feedback building into the heavier riff works well. If you can maintain this sound quality, I think you should start making up some full songs again. Actually, maybe just get working on finishing "A Place of Misery".

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

I'm glad you like it man. I redid Misery today. I'm gonna email you, it. Just to see if the tone is cool.

I finally figured my shit out for now. (And wrote down how to do it again) haha. Thanks for the awesome words!!and review!\m/

Bigger than Storm Troopers too!

This I honestly think I like better than the original! Hey Speedy, great job on the bass! I could actually hear it stand out a bit. Your vocals like always kick ass man! The only thing I could say I don't like much isn't your fault. The part where the singer says "Your soul looks so delicious" has always just sounded too goofy and silly to me. I thought the singer of the original should have cut that part out. But anyway, I love the song and I love the cover. Great job man!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

haha, I should have changed up that part, and inserted some BAD MAN INC trademark shit. haha.
Yeah speedy is a multi talented good friend to have for sure. Thanks for the kick ass review man.
Fancy some more megadeth?\m/

That's metal!

Oh man, this sounds so awesome! I am listening to it through headphones, and it's a lot clearer than some of your other work. The riffs and drums are awesome too! I am not just sucking up to you man, this is one of the coolest things I have heard out of you yet! I can't wait to hear it with vocals when you can!
The only thing I would suggest though, is that you should add some more heavy riffage after the solo for a little while. Something different for you to sing over. Almost like a heavy interlude/breakdown, just at the end of the song. But that's just my opinion. Yeah man, awesome work!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Hrmm...was thinking the same, man. Hopefully I'll get some time eventually. Thanks for the kickass review,man!!\m/

Mmmm... food.

I gave you 10's for everything other than clarity just to celebrate a day of 0-rating, haha. But yeah, like everyone else is saying, the clarity is pretty rough. I am not sure if you're compressing the drums or what, but they are pretty hard to hear. I was able to hear the guitars okay though.

I am not sure if you still use Cubase, but here's possibly a few times. First, make sure you make all of your drum/backing tracks and know what you want to play (duh). Next, open Cubase and don't bother doing anything to the drums, they should be fine. Make sure your guitar tone is how you like it and as clear as possible. When you put your microphone up to it, I suggest making sure that the tip of the mic is touching the netting in front of the speaker's cup. You typically want it as close as possible. Of course after all of this you just simply hit the record button. One you do all of this, your two final steps would be to select all of the guitar tracks and go to "Audio", "Plugins", "Dynamics", "MultibandCompressor", and then select the preset that says "Electric Guitar". That should be the only thing that needs compressing. I have been taking these steps for my own junk and I think it's working awesome. Some other things that may help is putting a "noise gate" on all of the tracks other than drums to eliminate any background noise or amp noise. Then if you recorded two guitar tracks, I found that panning each of them anywhere between 50 to 70 percent either way works great.

I'm sorry if that's a bit much for you. But it's what I do and with the terrible computer microphone I use for recording anyway it still works really well. If you do try all of that out, good luck! See ya, man.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks "tips"! ahha. I do use cubase...but not in the same way. I direct record. For this particular track...I didn't really do anything...I just wanted something quick to celebrate the day. I made this tune for fun a while back..but deleted it. It only took me about 20 minutes to re create...but thanks for the 10 on effort! haha.

With cubase...I direct record...use guitar fx for my distortion. I lay all my tracks into cool edit pro. With my next few songs..which are almost complete...I import all the tracks into cubase. The guitar tracks with the distortion, I lay a setting over them from guitar rig. Its a clean setting that takes away the muddyness of the original distortion, but leaves the heavyness of the sound. I may put a W.I.P. on sheezy for your ears!!..haha. anyways...I fix up those...using the Vocals setting on the multiband compressor. It has 4 bars rather than 3.

Anyways, like I said...I didn't do any of that cool stuff with this...infact the song I really wanted to upload was too big...and I didn't want to kill the quality. So some Pooo for the downraters.
Thanks for the review man.\m/

Roar.

Yeah, drums sound different. Better-different. But yeah, I like the idea of going clean/distorted/clean in a song, so this was a score to me ^_^
But yeah. Not much to say. Fuckin' metal.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

haha...thanks man. I think I gave you all these samples..so you too can do it!\m/

Not metal, but cool.

It's suprising to hear you do something so different from the usual. But not bad though! I have been meaning to download Reason for a friend actually. I use FL Studio most of the time, but using Reaktor 5 as a VST plug in instrument. Those programs can be incredibly useful if you're good with knowledge on working synth keys. I'm currently working on something that will involve more synth use, but it's not going to be ambient like this. It's going to be in the style of Children of Bodom. Anyway, the whole chorus/choir thing sounded pretty cool... it reminded me of being inside of an empty church in a video game or something.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks man. You always say that. haha. I usually put most of my messin around on Sheezy, rather than here...but now.
I'm thinking of doing alot more ambient and some classical tracks too. I used to play piano, for a long time...I just am soooooo lazy at drawing out the notes. I have to figure out how to get the dynamics right as well.
FL is good. But I can't use my typing keyboard as a "keyboard" in FL..cause the .2 second delay really fucks with me..hahaha.
Anyways man, as always..thanks for your support and review!\m/

Damn metal!

I have always been a fan of insanely fast drumming and slower teeth-grinding riffs, so this was right on, man! But don't get all fussy that I gave clarity a 9... the reason I gave it a 9 is because there was one part closer towards the begining where the blasting on the snare drum was too loud and made it hard to hear the faster notes, and there was a few places where it was hard to hear the shredding too. Not a big deal though, everything else was perfectly audable, and the tone was great, the drum samples sounded great. 5/5 from me, and a DL man, peace.

Metaljonus responds:

Haha I don't really get all fussy bout clarity, I could send you a hi fi better mixed version that I've done if you want. Thanks for the review.
